Michael F. Koenigsberger is a partner with the firm of Grund & Leavitt, P.C.
Mr. Koenigsberger is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Currently, Mr. Koenigsberger is the president-elect for the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers for 2010. In addition to his previous honors and designations, in 2005 he was named one of Illinois 40 Attorneys Under Forty to Watch by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and was named as a Leading Lawyer in the area of Family Law. Mr. Koenigsberger has also been awarded an AV rating (highest designation) by Martindale-Hubbell, and received the designation as an Illinois Super Lawyer. Mr. Koenigsberger received his Juris Doctor from the DePaul University College of Law in 1995. As a skilled negotiator and litigator, Mr. Koenigsberger has represented hundreds of clients concerning complex custody and financial issues. In addition to his extensive family law experience, Mr. Koenigsberger has litigated in other areas of the law, including the Law Division, Chancery and County Division matters. Based upon his expertise, Mr. Koenigsberger has been invited to speak before the Chicago Bar Association as well as other professional organizations. Mr. Koenigsberger successfully litigated the first jury trial held in the Domestic Relations Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County since 1977.
